January is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Saigon. The race starts at 3:00 AM to help reduce traffic pressure in the city center. ⓘ Please note that due to the HCMC Marathon taking place in the heart of the city, you may encounter some interruptions due to traffic lights. Kindly be understanding and follow the instructions of the event staff to ensure safety during the race. At the same time, the event will inevitably have some impact on citizens’ commutes. If there are any inconveniences during participation, we kindly ask for the understanding of residents and participants. Runners will not be allowed to continue after the Cut-Off time at each checkpoint under any circumstances. This is to ensure that roads can be reopened to local residents in accordance with regulations. It also helps ensure the safety of security personnel, staff, and volunteers, preventing them from working extended hours in hot weather conditions. Aid stations (water and medical) will also be closed once traffic is reopened.
